Punk Rocker?

We got in the car to go to Springwood to post Mum's assignment this afternoon. Dad turned the car on and the first this we heard was "I wish I was a PUNK rocker".

HOW COME EVERYONE ELSE KNOWS WHAT THIS WORD MEANS???? IT'S EVERYWHERE!!!
